The promoters that brought you Supafest - the largest urban/pop event ever staged in Australia, are pleased to announce Winterbeatz 2010 featuring urban superstar Ne-Yo, Grammy Award winning artist T-Pain, Big Boi from the legendary hip-hop group Outkast and “Voice Of the Club” Fatman Scoop. With shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, Winterbeatz 2010 promises to deliver an unforgettable urban music experience bringing together some of the hottest chart-topping artists in music today.
Bringing R&B a dose of class and elegance, Ne-Yo first hit the big time with the release of his multi-million selling, world-wide smash debut album “In My Own Words” in 2006. The first single off the album “So Sick” debuted at number one on the Billboard Chart and became a hit across the world. He followed this up with the sophomore album “Because Of You”, and then took swagger to the next level on his Grammy nominated album “Year Of The Gentleman” in 2008. Not only has Ne-Yo had huge success in his own right, but he has also written smash hits for a plethora of artists including Rihanna, Mario, Janet Jackson and of course one of the highest selling singles of 2006/2007 “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce. Ne-Yo’s exclusive Australian performance at Winterbeatz will see him sing his hits “Closer”, “Miss Independent”, “Because Of You”, “So Sick”, “When You’re Mad”, “Sexy Love” and more.
In the winter of 2005, southern soulster T-Pain burst on the rhythmic scene with his debut “Rappa Ternt Sanga” and things just ain’t been the same since! Signing to Akon’s Konvict Music Label, T-Pain’s first album featured the hits “I’m Sprung”, and “I’m in Love with a Stripper”, which solidified his distinct and unique sound. 2007 saw him release the number one selling album “Epiphany” which featured “Bartender” featuring Akon and “Buy You A Drank”, and 2008 saw his third album “Thr33 Ringz” released which featured “Chopped and Skrewed” featuring Ludacris, “Freeze” featuring Chris Brown and “Can’t Believe It” featuring Lil Wayne. T-Pain has also provided signature hooks for some of the biggest urban tracks of the last 5 years including “Blame It” by Jamie Foxx, “Kiss Kiss” by Chris Brown, “Got Money” by Lil Wayne, and “Good Life” by Kanye West, which won him a Grammy.
Big Boi is one half of OutKast, one of the most successful hip-hop groups of all time. Together they have received 6 Grammy Awards, sold over 25 million albums and are credited with laying the foundation for southern hip-hop. Hailing from Atlanta, OutKast changed the face of hip-hop with their originality and artistic content, and had many
commercial hits with songs including “Hey Ya”, “Ms Jackson”, “The Way You Move”, “Roses”, “So Fresh, So Clean” and “Rosa Parks”. Big Boi has recently been working on his upcoming solo album “Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son Of Chico Dusty”. The first single off the album “Shutterbug”, which is produced by Scott Storch has recently been released to major critical acclaim.
Fatman Scoop is best known for his track “Be Faithful” with Crooklyn Clan which went number one around the world in late 2003. Since then, it has been one of the most popular songs played in clubs worldwide. Fatman Scoop knows how to hype up a crowd and get a party started like no other.
**Please note due to a personal commitment, Big Boi will be unable to appear at the Brisbane show. He will be performing at the Sydney, Melbourne and Perth shows only **
